Vogue Paris October 2009: Kate Moss by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Fashion legend and waif supermodel Kate Moss graces the cover of Vogue Paris' October issue shot by the magazine's resident photographer duo, the dutch team Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

When I saw this cover on tFS (the Fashion Spot), I was so thrilled but at the same time, a bit disappointed 'cause the letter "G" is nowhere to be found. I mean, they could have just put it on the back of Kate's head through Adobe Photoshop CS2 by using a magnetic lasso tool (it can be possible 'cause that's what I always do when I try to make a cover). But nevertheless, it cannot be denied that this is one fierce cover which I think, one fo the best Vogue covers Moss has done in years. :)

This is their follow-up to the March 2005 issue (with Daria Werbowy on the cover) which was also dedicated to models.

"Lily" by Guy Aroch: UK Harper's Bazaar October 2009

As promised, here's the full editorial of doll-faced Lily Cole in this month's issue of UK Harper's Bazaar:

I'm not one of those biggest fans of Lily but I must say, she really does look great in her editorial. Like what I have said in my previous post, she looks STELLAR. Each shots are photographed well plus what makes this great and lovely is the way Lily was styled. The clothes, the shoes and the jewelries, all perfect. It's like this time, she's a sultry doll.

UK Harper's Bazaar October 2009: Lily Cole by Guy Aroch

If you're wondering if Lily Cole is still active in the modeling world, well, wonder no more as she is the face of this month's issue of UK Harper's Bazaar. Photographed by Guy Aroch in what appears to be a Guy Bourdin-inspired photoshoot, the cover looks like a throwback to the 70's glam. By just looking at Lily on the cover (the beautiful wave of her red hair, the super glossy red lips up to the dress she's wearing), you could definitely see and feel the 70's glam vibe in it.

Isn't the sight of her freckles lovely to look at??? Plus her blue eyes, so alluring. I think the right word to use for the description of this cover is STELLAR. Whether you like it or not, this is one stellar cover! :) I'm gonna post her entire editorial on my next post as I am currently collecting the pics from the Fashion Spot. Bear with me bitches. :)

US Harper's Bazaar October 2009: Janet Jackson by Tom Munro

The lovely Ms. Janet Jackson or shall I call her "Damita Jo" lands the cover of this month's issue of US Harper's Bazaar in a world exclusive feature shot by Tom Munro.

What a lovely smile! It adds a touch of happiness to the cover. It's like "Life has got to be celebrated,it's so short, and Michael would've wanted everyone to keep on smiling". Well, since when the US edition of Harper's Bazaar didn't have happiness/smiling celebs on their cover? Though with all honesty, sometimes, I have a hard time imagining Janet on the cover of fashion magazines as I think she just seems out of place in the world of high fashion. Hey, don't get me wrong 'cause I love Janet so much and I'm glad that she finally got her own Harper's Bazaar cover. It's just that something doesn't seem right or appealing should i say when she graces the cover of a fashion magazine. Just like her cover of the October 2006 issue of W Magazine. Just search for it and you'll get what I'm trying to say.

US Harper's Bazaar is known for publishing two different covers, the newsstand one the other being the subscriber's one. As usual, the subscriber's cover has won over again this time as it expresses like some sort of drama plus I must say, it does look high fashion to me. :)) I know you'll get confused with this as I have mentioned earlier that I can't picture Janet doing a high fashion shoot. Okay, just don't mind what I said regarding that one. :) Another thing is that, why is the tagline "Fabulous At Every Age" always have to e on the cover??!!??!!??!! For God sakes, please Glenda Bailey, stop using that tagline 'cause I am SO SICK of seeing it on the cover.

UK Vogue October 2009: Sienna Miller by Mario Testino

Fashion's favorite Sienna Miller lands the cover of the October issue of UK Vogue lensed by famed photographer and one of UK Vogue's staple photographer, Mario Testino.

If you think the Baroness doesn't have a good and happy side on her, well you're wrong 'cause as you can see on the cover, Sienna looks like one. She looks natural and so chic especially with those freckles that you can barely see. Though the cover itself isn't that really appealing 'cause it is overloaded with so much text plus those super bold pink texts, UGH. People at UK Vogue should be taught about the color chart 'cause it seems like their love for pink will go on with their upcoming issues.

Her editorial reminds me of Kate Moss' couture editorial from the October issue last year. I don't know but maybe the the way Sienna's editorial was photographed? The styling? Really don't know. But for you bitches to have an idea on what I'm talkin' about, i'll post Kate's October 2008 cover and editorial soon. :) Bear with me bitches as I'm planning to post first all the October issues of different fashion magazines around the world.
